Empowering people to help themselves
Sustain for Life help some of the poorest people on the planet to help themselves. Their underlying belief is that people benefit more from the opportunity to help themselves rather than simply relying on the donation of aid, and aim to give people in need the initial means, knowledge and skills required to develop through their own efforts.
They don’t ask communities what they need – they ask what they’ve got. Sustain for Life help them identify and value resources they already have: their land, their families, their communities and capacities. Together, they build a better future.
By providing resource such as training in farming, accessing education for special needs children and by tackling social issues such as gender and disability inequality, Sustain for Life enables them to acquire both the hope and the skills to get there.
100% of the money you raise will go towards Sustain for Life’s community projects – not on charity running costs.
